OnLead provides marketing services to trades and service businesses in Canada, the United States, the Caribbean and other regions. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it.

Who we are

OnLead (“OnLead”, “we”, “us”) is a marketing agency based in the Greater Toronto Area, Ontario, Canada. We build websites and run advertising, review and phone answering services for our clients.

Age requirement

Our website and services are meant for business owners and are not directed to children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.

If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, email us and we will delete it promptly.

Information we collect

We only collect what we need to answer you and run your marketing:

  • Contact details you give us: name, business name, email address, phone number and anything you write in a form or text message.
  • Service information: details about your business, service areas, pricing and materials you share so we can build your website or run your campaigns.
  • Usage information: pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and how you arrived at our site, collected through cookies and analytics tools.
  • Call and message data: if you call or text a number we manage, we may record the number, date, time and message content to handle the enquiry.

Legal basis and consent

Where Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA and provincial equivalents) applies, we rely on your express or implied consent, and on legitimate business purposes permitted by law. Where the GDPR or similar laws apply, we rely on consent, performance of a contract, or our legitimate interest in operating the business. You can withdraw consent at any time, subject to legal and contractual limits.

Cookies and analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies for basic site function, analytics and advertising measurement, including Google services. These tools may set conversion tags when you click to call or submit a form.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the site may not work as expected if you do.

Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate, such as hosting, analytics, advertising platforms, email delivery, phone and messaging providers, and payment processors. They may only use it to provide their service to us.

We may also disclose information where required by law, to enforce our agreements, or to protect our rights, safety or property.

We serve clients in Canada, the United States, the Caribbean and other regions, and our providers may store or process data outside your country, including in the United States. Information held in another country may be accessible to courts and authorities there. We take reasonable steps to ensure our providers protect your information at a comparable standard.

How long we keep it

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described here, or as long as required for tax, legal and accounting purposes. When it is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous.

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including encrypted connections and access controls on the systems we manage. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may ask us to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Correct information that is wrong or out of date
  • Delete information we no longer need to keep
  • Stop marketing emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link
  • Withdraw consent to a particular use

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version. Continued use of our site or services after an update means you accept the revised policy.
